Heather Elliott is a museum professional, avid reader, and maritime historian. She has been studying maritime history and culture since she was young, with a particular focus on passenger liners between the late 1800s and 1945. One of her favourite things to do is to talk to people who take to the sea to make their living, and hearing their stories. She can usually be found down at the harbour in St. John’s, checking out what new ships are in at any given time. She created this site to help share the stories of ships and their crews, both past and present.
Heather also has a Twitter account where she posts history info, ship info, harbour updates, and occasionally pictures of her dog. Feel free to follow her @OriginalShipstr.
